10 Days Left in Obama's Presidency
COUNTDOWN to the end Obama's presidency: Over the next 10 days follow my journey and recap of President Barack Obama’s presidency. I will share my top memories that are dear to me.
In case you didn’t know I am in serious mourning so I figure what better way to publicly acknowledge someone who I believe deserves the praise for being human (yes he’s made mistakes too), relentless in his efforts to serve all Americans, worked tirelessly, provided hope for a better future and continues to inspire so many people to not limit themselves.
Day 1: [10 days left] The night where it all started. In 2004, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) gave the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. He struck a chord in the souls of many and challenged us! This is when I had no political affiliation but simply an interest to help others and learned what it meant to be selfless in your efforts when advocating on behalf of humanity. I remember thinking I’ll have to research this man again when I’m eligible to vote in a few years. Almost 13 years later I hold on to this line from his speech, “…And out of this long political darkness, a brighter day will come.”- Sen. Barack Obama.
