It's only fitting that a receiver named David would make the pivotal catch in this David versus Goliath matchup.

David Tyree's catch changed history. The undefeated Patriots were minutes away from reaching destiny and completing the NFL's first perfect 19-0 season. The '72 Miami Dolphins finished undefeated and won the Super Bowl, but they only played 14 regular season games.

This was not the greatest Super Bowl. Last week's overtime thriller owns that title. But this play meant more for the history of the game than any other play in Super Bowl history.
